The Pioneer House includes 2 private bedrooms with private bathrooms, separate locking exterior and interior doors. Both bedrooms open into the Community Room, which includes a large library table and chairs, 4 recliners, large screen Smart TV and extensive reference library on local cultural and natural histories. The Arizona Room is perfect for socializing, watching wildlife and enjoying Arizona skies and mountain views. The fully enclosed fenced Pioneer garden includes areas for sitting and stargazing and a meditation labyrinth. Use the black light to see which rocks are florescent. Our Casita across the drive includes a dining table for 4, microwave, refrigerator, coffee and hot pot, dishes and cutlery.
Located in one of Arizona's top ghost towns, our 1873 Adobe Retreat was built before Arizona was a state. Our guests experience western history, while enjoying modern conveniences. In it's peaceful mountain setting, our guests enjoy the scenic views, dramatic sunsets and dark star filled skies. At 5,000 feet elevation, we have cooler temperatures in the high green desert. Only 15 minutes from services in Willcox, hiking in the Chiricahua's or wine tasting, we are more than a cozy bed.

We are a dark-sky community without streetlights. Dos Cabezas is located between two cattle guards (Mile post markers 342 & 343). So be sure to watch for Chattman Street off Highway 186, near mile post marker 343. Chattman Street dead ends at East White Pacheco and our driveway is on the left. Google Maps will direct you here but use GPS before leaving Willcox. Our entrance gate will be closed but unlocked to keep the cattle out. We are an open range area. Please close the gate behind you and proceed up the driveway towards the office to the guest parking area on the left.

We are birders, hikers, and wine enthusiasts who fell in love with southeastern Arizona in 2015. With combined backgrounds in public relations, restaurants and hotels, construction and building maintenance, we are uniquely qualified to make your stay at Dos Cabezas Retreat Bed & Breakfast relaxing and memorable experience. We have both taught widely-varied age groups across the years and enjoy sharing our knowledge of history and nature.
